Synopsis

Colonel Bob Taylor, a Southerner who races blooded horses, watches his daughter Vivian win an auto race. Meanwhile, Vivian's schoolmate, Virginia Stafford, persuades her girl-shy brother to stop, during his auto trip South, at the Taylor estate to buy her a riding horse. In Virginia, Stafford is held up by a well-dressed thief who then proceeds to the Taylor home with Stafford's identification cards and money. He sees Vivian, who is doing the chores for an ill dairy maid, and begins to attack her, but Stafford arrives and rescues her by fighting the assailant. Vivian, who thinks that Stafford is the auto bandit for whom a reward has been offered, hides him in her room. After Colonel Taylor's safe has been robbed, and the sheriff's bloodhounds track the thief's scent to the colonel's house, Stafford establishes his own identity, and the thief is arrested. Stafford and Vivian then announce their engagement.
