Synopsis

As soon as Peggy secures the position of maid in the home of the wealthy Caldwells, she immediately begins to meddle in family affairs. Marian, the daughter, has a beau, but is unhappy because her mother wants to marry her off to a rich old man, Million Dollar Deane. Peggy arranges it so that the lovers can meet in the cellar. Arthur, the wayward son, has a habit of imbibing too freely in alcoholic stimulants. After a thorough talking to by Peggy, and a promise of a government job by Deane, Arthur settles down. However, Deane has ulterior motives and schemes to gain possession of valuable plans from the War Department, using Arthur as his tool. When Arthur discovers Deane's treachery, he enlists the aid of Peggy and her beau Barney, the Caldwell chauffeur, and after a series of heroics, they unmask Deane as a traitor. Arthur then proposes to Peggy, but she has already promised herself to Barney.
