Synopsis

While on a visit to Florida, Marion Bell, a young actress, and John Arden meet and find themselves strongly drawn to each other. They fail to understand the force propelling them together until they discover a volume of the Royal Romances of Egypt and realize that they are reincarnated counterparts of Prince Isa and Ashubetis, the "image maker". Thousands of years earlier, the pharaoh, the father of Prince Isa, who had planned a royal wedding, is enraged at his son's love for the lowly image or pottery maker and orders her thrown to the crocodiles. The modern day lovers, also objects of parental opposition, find themselves forcefully separated when Marion must go to Egypt to join a film company. Arden follows, and on the anniversary of the prince's death 5,000 years before, the couple meet at the prince's tomb and vow never to be parted again.
