Synopsis

With his wife Ruth, Ned goes in search of his brother, who was adopted years before. Having no money, however, Ned soon falls in with a gang of crooks and lands in jail. Alice, the wife of millionaire John Randolph, takes an interest in Ruth and decides to help her and Ned. John, however, refuses to give money to a criminal, so after Ned's release, Alice borrows $1,000 from Henry Collins and presents it to Ned. Then, Henry insists that Alice either repay him or sleep with him, and when Ned learns of Alice's problem, he decides to break into John's safe and steal enough money to satisfy Henry. John catches Ned, but when the police search the burglar, they find a photograph of a woman whom John recognizes as his own natural mother. Suddenly, he realizes that Ned is his brother, and drops the robbery charge. Then, Ned fights off Henry, who is trying to seduce Alice.
