Synopsis

Wealthy businessman David Dane pays more attention to making money than to his wife Alice, and so she decides to begin a flirtation with Rex Gordon. Rex, however, is hardly different from David, as he is more interested in Alice's jewelry than in Alice herself. Then, one evening, while David is out and Alice is sleeping, Rex decides to rob her. As Rex sneaks into Alice's bedroom, Jasper Dicey, a down-and-out broker intent on stealing the jewels, does the same, but each man, because of the dark, remains unaware of the other's presence. Then, David returns home unexpectedly, and after getting rid of the two thieves, promises Alice to end his indifference and vows never to leave her by herself again.
