Little Miss Nobody
Film Details
Synopsis
After placing her daughter in an orphanage, an unwed mother, keeping her past a secret, marries a successful doctor while the father makes a fortune in business. Then the child, who is called Little Miss Nobody, has an accident and the orphanage calls in the doctor to take care of her. Eventually, he makes the girl his ward, and when the real father finds out, he goes to the doctor's wife to make sure that their secret will not become known. Despite their efforts, however, the doctor learns everything and leaves his wife as well as the child, since he believes she should be raised by her real parents, who nonetheless desert her once again. The mother then kills the father just before she herself dies of alcoholism, after which the doctor finds the little girl and raises her as his daughter.
