Synopsis

Already believing firmly in fairies, Little Lady Eileen, a young Irish woman, naturally takes the word of a cobbler who tells her that if she looks into a nearby well, she will see the face of her future husband. The water does indeed provide her with a man's image: just as she gazes into it, Stanley Churchill walks by. Stanley immediately falls in love with her, but after their romance begins, his twin brother Sir George, seeing an opportunity to collect some of Eileen's family fortune, pretends to be Stanley and then marries Eileen. When she discovers the deception, Eileen runs away from her husband, and when George goes after her, Eileen's fairy friends knock him off his horse. George soon dies from his injuries, after which Eileen marries the real Stanley.
