Synopsis

Hoping to get over a broken romance, a young divinity student goes to Africa in search of ostrich plumes, but when he arrives in the Hidden Valley, the natives hail him as a white god. Then, he meets a white woman whom the natives have captured, and whom they plan to sacrifice to the water god in order to end a long drought. The student, however, develops a system for irrigating the valley, thereby saving the white woman. They then make plans to go back to the United States and get married, but before they leave, the student makes the natives promise to abandon their pagan gods and accept Christianity, and to open the valley to the influence of Western civilization.
