Synopsis
When Alicia's father unexpectedly inherits a fortune, he moves his family to a big house and becomes an artist, indulging his Bohemian fantasies. After he starts an affair with another woman, he and his wife separate, while Alicia, following his example, breaks off her engagement to Dr. John Osborne and becomes involved with Herbert Rawlins, a proponent of "free love." Herbert tries to seduce Alicia, but she knocks him out with a bronze statue and then, disillusioned with the "free love" lifestyle, goes back to John. Similarly, her father, finally realizing the bad influence his behavior has had on Alicia, ends his extra marital romance and is reconciled with his wife.
