Synopsis

As unsuspecting civilians carry on their peaceful, daily activities, the Austro-Hungarian Army prepares for attack on the country town of Ivangorod, Poland, which is under Russian control. From their camp at Radom, the German soldiers build a pontoon bridge over the Vistula River, and when they receive word to seize and capture Ivangorod, they pour over the bridge toward the Russian forts. The infantry storms and bombards the forts until the Russians surrender. Prisoners are captured, the wounded are cared for, the dead are buried and the once quiet, old town of Ivangorod lies in ruins.

Notes

Advertisements for this film claim that it was the first film to show actual-not staged-battles. Some sources from the teens refer to Jack Everett as John Allen Everets and state that two of the organizers of the American Correspondent Film Co. were later jailed for their pro-German filmmaking.
