Synopsis

Adventuress Mazie King secures an invitation from society man Mr. Neil to the anniversary celebration of wealthy Mr. and Mrs. Blake. After Mazie and her underworld partner, Bill Travis, overhear Molly, the wife of reformed convict Tom Ryan, give Jim O'Bryan, the wayward son of a detective, money to go straight, they talk Jim into helping Mazie rob the guests. During the party, Jim overpowers a servant. Mazie steals Mrs. Blake's diamond necklace and leaves it for Jim, now dressed as the servant. When Mrs. Blake discovers the loss and screams, Detective O'Bryan shoots and wounds the fleeing Jim. Later, after an argument, Bill ejects Jim from their rendezvous spot. Jim goes for refuge to Tom and Molly's, and while she bathes his wound, he places the necklace in her pocket. Because Jim dropped a photograph of Tom and Molly, detectives trace him there. After a fight, Tom and Molly are arrested. When the jewels are found in Molly's pocket, Jim staggers in, and to his father's shock, confesses and clears the Ryans.
