Synopsis

After West Indian planter William Lanyon dies, his nephew, New York society man Dick Lorient, leaves his fiancée Dulcie Lanyon, who is also his cousin, to go inspect his inherited plantation in Jamaica. John Stark, Lanyon's friend and the overseer of the plantation, stands to inherit it if Dick should die. Stark persuades his mistress, an alluring siren, to seduce Dick, ply him with liquor and get him under her power. Soon Dick, enchanted by the siren, is a physical wreck. When Dulcie arrives to find Dick, Stark falls in love with her and abducts her. The siren, incensed with jealousy, attempts to stab Stark but is stabbed herself by Stark and killed. Released from the siren's hold, Dick rescues Dulcie. After a chase through waterfalls, mountain slopes and crevices, Dick hurls Stark to his death down the mouth of a smoking volcano. Dick and Dulcie then return home to marry.
