Synopsis
Knowing that her father embezzled funds from his company and that he will be caught once the books are examined, Doris Cadwell saves him with the help of her sweetheart Don, who is also in the firm, but Don is sent to prison for the crime. Cadwell then forces Doris to become engaged to a wealthy man. Meanwhile, she arranges Don's escape with the help of Harris, a prison guard, by promising to marry him, but Harris dies after he and Don flee in Doris' car. Although Cadwell tries to bring about their capture, Doris and Don marry. Pursued, they accidentally meet Cadwell's employer Hall, who always believed that Don was innocent. When they tell their story to the Governor in an interview at which Cadwell is present, Cadwell incriminates himself with a slip of the tongue and Don is allowed to go free.
