Synopsis

Natalie Hall, who makes artificial flowers to support her drunkard father, takes solace from her East Side tenement when she dances for children to the music of her neighbor Carlo's violin. At a dance hall, white slave dealers Spud Howell and Brace kidnap Natalie for Fisk, a wealthy man, and kill Natalie's father who tried to help. Before Fisk's arrival, Natalie is rescued by Fisk's nephew Robert Marston, a young assistant district attorney, who knows nothing of his uncle's involvement with the gang he is investigating. After Natalie leaves the job Robert gets for her because her employer tries to make love to her, she joins a chorus and achieves stardom when the lead becomes ill. Robert, who has lost track of Natalie, sees her perform and follows her and Fisk to a restaurant and then to his apartment. Carlo, who plays violin in the restaurant, follows as well. He shoots Fisk, who earlier betrayed his daughter, as Fisk attacks Natalie. After Brace, aiming at Robert, kills Carlo, Robert arrests him. He and Natalie soon marry.
