Synopsis

The film chronicles the Mexican revolt of 1910-11 led by Francisco Madero and shows U.S. troops on alert at Fabens, Texas. Madero opposes the re-election of dictator Porfirio Díaz but fails in his attempted coup d'état. After fleeing to the United States in 1910, Madero returns to lead a military campaign against General Orozco and the Federales, and during a devastating hand grenade battle, he captures the city of Juárez. Ultimately, Díaz is forced from office, and after more bloodshed, Madero is inaugurated as the new president in Mexico City. The film concludes with portraits of Mexican scenery and resorts.
