Synopsis

Professor Snow, his son Sydney, and crew sail for Cape Town, Africa, where they plan a safari north into the wilderness. En route to Cape Town, there are shots of a whale hunt and later the astonishing sight of millions of "Jackass Penguins" playing on the rocky shores. On the safari itself we share their adventures and misadventures: the diamond mines in Kimberley; the tsetse fly invasion killing their horses and oxen; the beauty of a herd of giraffe running across the plain; the deadly rhinoceros charging head on at the camera; the dancing of the village women and their warriors; and in the crater of an extinct volcano a herd of giant elephants, surrounded by the leaders of the safari and the natives.
