Synopsis

"The picture opens with a speech, by a person supposed to be a representative of Congress, against capital punishment. There then follow scenes of beheading people, hanging, electrocuting and killing them by means of the guillotine, which scenes are supposed to be founded upon historical facts. The film also has several dance-hall scenes, showing a girl living with a man without being married and finally where he deserts her and marries another. There is also shown a murder of a girl by her sister and subsequent trial of an innocent man for the murder, at which he is found guilty. Scenes are shown in detail leading up to his electrocution."
