Synopsis
The following scenes show aspects of places and people of Finland. In Helsinki, the harbor is shown, as is the Parliament in session, the Bank of Finland and its governor, granite architecture and a model school. In the countryside, farm life, a village school and a Finnish bath are shown. The lakes and woods of Punkaharju are shown. At Vipuri, the lumber industry is shown, as is a paper mill, folk dancing by girls at a summer camp, and a family at home. The ancient monastery on the island of Valaamo in Lake Ladoga is shown. The Finnish railway and a parade of the army and war veterans, reviewed by the president of the country, is presented.

Although no confirmed release date has been found, evidence indicates that the film May have been released in 1938. This film was part of an illustrated lecture program by documentary filmmaker Julien Bryan, in which he would speak for ten minutes preceding the film and then supply live narration to the motion pictures.
