Synopsis
Part One, which is entitled "Glimpses of Moscow and Urban Life," shows various Moscow landmarks in addition to streets, bars the subway, government apartments, examples of the government controlled retail trade, and the inspection of meats. In Part Two, entitled "Glimpses of Leningrad and Industry," the major streets and buildings of Leningrad are shown, in addition to the baking industry, a hydroelectric plant, the steel and automobile industry, emphasizing the employment of women managers, road construction, oil fields, and the primitive distribution methods. Part Three, entitled "Development of Agriculture," emphasizes the backwardness of independent farmers and the modernization of collective farms through mechanization. Leo Tolstoy's home, which has become a collective farm, is shown.

This May have been the same film as that which is listed in NYSA records under the title Russia Reborn. That film, also manufactured by documentary filmmaker Julien Bryan, was approved by the New York State censor board in 1937 and had a length of 5,000 feet. A film of that length runs approximately 56 minutes.
