Synopsis
Texan William Lloyd Rusk believes he has been unjustly accused of a crime, and escapes arrest in Piute County by hiding in a covered wagon. The wagon crosses the county line into Trona County, where Bill becomes involved with con artists Buck Townsley, Jim and Tony in a scheme to scam money from the locals who are betting on a county horse race. They put up money for Buck to win the race, while the locals bet against him. Jim asks little Bobby to hold his wagon while in town and then Jim purposely startles the horses which run away. As part of the scheme, Buck and Bill pursue the horses, and after Bill out-races Buck and rescues Bobby, the betting is heavy that he will win the horse race. Bobby and his older sister Mary Lou offer Bill accommodations at their ranch so that he can train his horse, "Chile," and he accepts their invitation. Before going, however, he remonstrates his cohorts on endangering the life of little Bobby. At the ranch, Bill only pretends to race "Chile," and instead takes naps. Jim claims that he timed Bill's horse at three minutes on the course, and the betting becomes even more intense. When Bill discovers that Mary Lou borrowed money against her mortgage to bet on him, however, he tries to pull out of the deal, then vows to the gang he will win the race. His cohorts remind him that they could easily turn him over to the Piute County sheriff if he wrongs them. As Bill leaves the hotel he sees the Piute sheriff, who is in town to officiate the race. The sheriff sees him and gives chase, but Bobby tells Bill of a hiding place after Bill asks him to have his horse waiting in the starting line-up at the race the next day. Bobby reveals the hiding place to Jim and Buck, whom he believes are Bill's friends, and they hold Bill hostage under the watchful eye of Tony. In the morning, Bill overcomes Tony and rushes to the racetrack just in time to hop on his horse as the starting gun is fired. During the race, Bill drops his saddle and rides bareback and, passing Buck, wins the race. Bill then turns himself over to the sheriff, although he declares himself innocent of the crime, and both Mary Lou and Bobby promise to wait for him.

Notes
The above plot and credits were taken from a studio cutting continuity. No reviews or release information were found, but the film was submitted to the New York State Censor Board on March 14, 1932. No production company for the film was located; however, as West Coast Studios produced a number of other films from this period that starred Buffalo Bill, Jr., it is possible that they were the producers.
