Synopsis

In a small western town, a pair of crooked sheriff's deputies rob the express office of a gold shipment and kill a little boy's father, who worked for the company, as well as the boy's dog Pride and the sheriff. A prospector is wrongfully jailed for the killings, but his dog, Thunderbolt, helps the boy track down one of the outlaws. When the boy finds the gold shipment in his barn, he is caught by the outlaw, who throttles him. Thunderbolt comes to the rescue by attacking the outlaw. When the barn catches fire, Thunderbolt pulls the boy's unconscious body from the barn, leaving the outlaw to burn to death.
