Synopsis
To illustrate the danger of illegal abortions, the film depicts an impoverished mother and a young, unmarried woman, each of whom is desperately seeking to terminate her pregancy. The older woman almost bleeds to death, while the younger one, who cannot procure birth control devices because the Catholic Church prohibits it, risks her life in an unsanitary "vulture's roost." In contrast, a clean, well-equipped hospital is shown. Here, doctors take all necessary precautions to help women through their pregnancies, especially in the case of a ceasarian section operation.
