Synopsis
Burr Evans, who owns a small ranch, falls in love with Martha Hazard and runs afoul of her aristocratic father, Mark, by refusing to join in the old man's range war on nesters. Nathan Hazard, Mark's brother, falls from his horse and becomes lost in the high country. He is found and cared for by a nester who is a distant relative of Burr's. The nester sets out to inform the Hazards of Nathan's accident, and Buck Weaver, Burr's rival for the affections of Martha, rides into the nester camp and, mistaking Nathan for a nester, attempts to kill him. Burr then rides up and fights off Buck, taking Nathan home with him. Buck later attempts to kill them, but they are saved by a posse sent out by Martha after talking to the nester. Martha and Burr make plans to be wed.
