Synopsis
Ratoor, an East Indian antique dealer, has put Cynthia under his hypnotic control and plans to engineer a marriage between her and the millionaire Broadhurst in order to get his hands on Broadhurst's fortune. While visiting Ratoor's shop, Peter discovers that Cynthia is being held there against her will. He starts to investigate and soon falls in love with Cynthia but keeps his distance, even as the hypnotized bride sleepwalks through her wedding. After the ceremony, Ratoor kills Broadhurst and compels Cynthia to sign over her claim to her late husband's estate. Then, when Ratoor makes plans to bury Cynthia alive, Peter decides that it is time to step in. He rescues Cynthia from Ratoor and, after breaking the East Indian's spell, begins a romance with her.

Notes
A reviewer commented, "A story dealing with the pitting of wits of an American against the cunning of a foreigner, especially of a Hindoo, has a natural appeal to the patriotism of an audience." They advised exhibitors, "Keep well before your patrons that...it is American wits against Oriental cunning."
