Notes
This film, which was completed by August 1916, May never have been released. According to a news item, the film's release was to be held up until The Human Orchid, an earlier production of the Florida Feature Films Co., sold to most territories on a state rights basis. According to a modern source, Fate's Chesssboard concerned the Seminole Indians and had a working title of Fate's Bond. The modern source also notes that the Florida Feature Films Co. was no longer in operation by the end of 1916. A two-reel Blazed Trail Production, released by Arrow Film Corp. in 1920, and also entitled Fate's Chessboard, was unrelated to the 1916 film. Florida Feature Films Co. earlier was called Field Feature Films Co. Fate's Chessboard May have been made during the time that the company was known by its former name.
