Synopsis

Carlos inherits two million dollars from his uncle who lived in Australia. His lawyer advises him to go to some remote area far from the clutches of gold diggers. A young millionairess, with a similar problem, arrives at the same hotel and asks for her regular room, which has been assigned to Carlos. The coincidence results in mutual suspicion, and both feel that the meeting is not by chance and could be related to their respective fortunes. When they become convinced that these suspicions are groundless, they forget their prejudice and fall in love.

Trivia

Notes

This Spanish-language film was an expanded version of a three-reel, 1930 English-language film entitled Dollar Dizzy, which was directed by James W. Horne and starred Charley Chase, Thelma Todd, Edgar Kennedy and James Finlayson. A French-language version, Les chercheuses d'or with Chase and Georgette Rhodes, was also produced. It is probable that other actors who were in the English-language version were also in the foreign versions, but the complete composition of the foreign casts has not been ascertained. A modern source suggests that Rita Rey May be a pseudonym for Nancy Torres.
