Synopsis
Citizen 3X47 is accused and convicted of the crime of violence in his nonviolent society in the year 2069 and is sentenced to travel back in time to learn about lovemaking in the past. He is given a ring which is programmed to convey him to the selected times and places. If he loses the ring, he will be banished to infinity. In a college dormitory in the 1960's, 3X47 shows the ring to a student, and without any hesitation they make love. 3X47 drops the ring and is sent to infinity; the student picks it up and is transported 100 years into the past to the tent of a Civil War captain. While they are making love, the captain and the ring are delivered to a Russian czarina. She seduces him, and he is sent to the next stop on the sex tour, a sultan's palace. The captain makes love with a slave girl; she receives the ring, pops up in a Roman garden, and makes love with a woman who is waiting there for her lover. This woman takes the ring and finds herself in the cell of a condemned warrior during the time of Genghis Khan. Taking the ring, the warrior travels back to prehistoric times, meets a cavewoman, and makes love with her. The woman's mate destroys the ring and is inexplicably transported to the year 2069.
