Guess Who's Coming?

1h 8m 1969

Brief Synopsis

Television commercial director Bob Rand finds that his married life has become a dull routine. His moral foundation shaken by a call to an old girl friend, he receives another blow when his boss, T. C., decides to branch into the sex exploitation field and insists that Bob direct the new productions. Bob is forced to deal with people whose sordid lives are a constant reminder of his own moral disintegration: a blonde stripper removes her clothes whenever she hears music; a shy, blushing young woman goes wild with lust for her own body; two lesbians make love whenever the desire strikes, regardless of time or place. To complicate Bob's predicament, his job is threatened by T. C.'s ambitious son Danny. Bob's first marital lapse occurs in the projection room when he joins his secretary, Milly, to screen some footage; Danny is a scheming witness. Bob joins his old girl friend Penny in a second infidelity. Danny, meanwhile, decides to usurp Bob's social life as well as his career. When Milly refuses his advances, he attempts a rape that fails when she views his naked body and bursts into laughter. Danny's film career also heads for failure. He picks up a pretty young blonde in the park and promises to put her in movies. Once inside the studio, she refuses to take off her clothes. Disgusted with himself, Bob arrives on the set to find Danny harassing his new "find." He punches the upstart in the mouth and walks out for good. His self-respect restored, Bob begins a new life with his wife.
