Synopsis
Dr. Sayer, the director of a philanthropic foundation, spends his weekends at his luxurious villa outside of Rome toying with sadistic fantasies. His games are usually acted out with the help of a prostitute conversant with his desires. When his regular prostitute becomes unavailable at the last minute, Sayer substitutes Maria, a young journalist on his staff. After the drugged Maria regains consciousness at his villa, Sayer realizes that he now has a real victim on his hands. After enduring the torture, Maria realizes that Sayer's problem is that he doubts his own virility. Maria plays up to him until Sayer confesses that he has never really done these things before, and he begins to fall in love with her. Finally enticing Sayer to have relations with her in a swimming pool after a long, idyllic day together, Maria excites him to the point that he has a heart attack and drowns. It is then revealed that Maria was in league with the prostitute to destroy Sayer and other men.
