Synopsis

Tom Jones is discovered in Lady Godiva's bedchamber by Lord Brotherton, who attempts to kill his wife's lover and is himself accidentally shot by Her Ladyship. Condemned to death for attempted murder and adultery, Lady Godiva seduces a prison guard and escapes with the help of Tom Jones, who smuggles her onto a ship bound for San Francisco with a cargo of English maidens. A lesbian madam from London supervises the women, who have been deceived into thinking that they are to become wives for wealthy Americans. The chaperon selects five of them, including Lady Godiva, to work as "entertainers" at a saloon in Goldstone, a wild frontier mining town. Life aboard takes a hectic turn; as they cross the equator, a party for King Neptune degenerates into an orgy. When the ship docks, Lady Godiva and four other women take the stagecoach to the Goldstone Hotel, and there Kirby, the manager, reveals the true reason for their journey. Lady Godiva objects and a fist fight ensues as her identity is revealed to the chaperon. Kirby decides to keep the Lady for himself, and he is prevented from raping her by the timely arrival of Tom Jones, who informs his lover that her husband has exonerated her from all blame. The next day, there is a showdown between Tom and Kirby. Lady Godiva rides naked down the main street, distracting Kirby long enough for Tom to fire. The happy lovers prepare to return to England.
