Synopsis

Bill San Antonio robs a train, murders everyone aboard, and buries the money he takes. Cat, a gunfighter determined to find the money, faces San Antonio in a shootout after a crooked card game. Handed a gun filled with blanks, Cat is tricked into believing he has killed San Antonio, but he continues the search for the money. He joins forces with Earp, a brawny insurance detective, and together they find the loot and discover that San Antonio is alive. They secretly remove the money to another cache, but they are soon captured and tortured by San Antonio and his men. While San Antonio is absent on another mission, Cat and Earp surprise the guards and escape. Cat, however, is recaptured and forced to lead a guard to the cache. He kills the guard with a knife hidden near the loot and sends a messenger to San Antonio to demand a showdown. Earp arrives as Cat and San Antonio prepare to face each other. Earp is shot by San Antonio, who, in turn, is crippled by Cat. Cat has set a dynamite charge next to the cache, and San Antonio frantically tries to extinguish the fuse as he crawls toward the money. The dynamite explodes, killing San Antonio; the money, which has been removed elsewhere, remains safe. Cat and Earp, who is only wounded, ride off together to divide the money.
