Synopsis

Every year the town of Glory celebrates its founding with a gunfight between the two fastest gunmen in the West. The participants are to be Deakes and Brenner, but plans change when a drifter named Reece announces that he has killed Deakes. He agrees to take Deakes' place in the fight, but the men behind the celebration decide to keep the substitution a secret. With the fight some time away, Reece goes to Powder City where, without knowing each other's identity, he and Brenner become friends and decide to unite to rid Glory of crime. They return to Glory together and remain unaware that they are opponents until they meet in the street for the duel. At first they are unwilling to fight, but the townspeople force them. They stage the gunfight without killing each other, however, and also manage to eliminate the men behind the bloody custom.
