Synopsis

Preserved for centuries in a state of frozen animation beneath the Russian tundra, Samson is unearthed and revived by an anthropological expedition sent by the tyrannical czar to find buried treasure. The anthropologists, ambushed by the czar's men while returning to Saint Petersburg, are rescued by the legendary warrior. The czar plans to use Samson for his own cruel deeds, but Nadia, a maiden at court, informs Samson of the czar's intentions. With the promise of freedom for slaves and political prisoners, Samson undergoes a trial of strength; the czar reneges on his word, however, and poisons Samson. After recovering with an antidote found by Nadia, Samson leads the people in a successful revolt against the czar.
