The Dirty Girls

1965

Brief Synopsis

Two prostitutes, one in Paris and the other in Munich, approach their livelihood from different social positions. Garance, a streetwalker on the Champs-Elysées, sets out each evening to earn her next day's living. Her first customer of the evening, Michel, is a shy young student whom she gently initiates into the world of sexual pleasure. She next encounters Antoine, a sadist; and afterwards, she entertains a regular customer, Grimaud, by donning a military uniform and disciplining him with a riding crop. Monique, a Munich call girl whose financial situation contrasts with that of Garance, receives a visit from Robert, an American businessman returning a camera borrowed by a mutual friend. Earlier, Robert had mistakenly approached Nadia, thinking that she was Monique, and an embarrassing encounter had resulted. Monique makes love to Robert in gratitude and departs to entertain at a high-society swimming pool party. She meets Armand, a movie star, and they jump into the pool together and stage a sexual exhibition for the guests. Finally, arriving home, Monique is joined by her long-awaited lover, Laurence, a woman.
