Synopsis

Count Cagliostro, whose family has tried for generations to rid the world of vampires, instructs his daughter, Ines, and her fiancé, the physician Richard, to protect several valuable documents. When the doctor is summoned to the bedside of the ailing Countess Frankenhausen, Ines enters the castle disguised as a servant. In this guise she attracts the amorous count, who is unaware of her conviction that he is a vampire, and incurs the wrath of Hildegard, the jealous housekeeper. Although the countess confides her fear of her husband to Richard, the doctor chooses to believe the vampire's assertion that his wife is mad. Unmasked by the angry Frankenhausen, Ines is rescued by Richard. The enraged vampire kills his wife, quaffs her blood, and escapes.
