Synopsis

Professor Sims of Oxbridge University arrives at the Austrian physics laboratory of Dr. Krapotkin just as the building is demolished by an explosion under the watchful eye of Russian spy Lisa Hinkle. Sims receives a package left by Krapotkin, with a note enclosed urging him to deliver a pair of sunglasses to Honschmeier, a Munich physicist; later, he is shocked to discover that everyone appears naked when seen through the glasses. Unaware that he is being followed by Lisa, Sims arrives in Munich to find Honschmeier dead, then proceeds to Paris, where another contact is murdered, and then to Venice, where he reluctantly turns the glasses over to Signore Capone. The spies kill Capone and steal the glasses, but Sims retrieves them and discovers that they can decode a secret message, which leads him to Florence and another murder. Posing as a friend of Krapotkin, Lisa lures Sims to West Berlin, where she arranges to abduct and take him to the Eastern sector. The Englishman escapes by motor scooter with the Russians in pursuit and manages to drive into a cargo plane just as it takes off. Leaving Lisa and her companions to their failures, he puts the glasses to use on the beaches of the Riviera.
