Synopsis
Frankie, a basically decent youth who has gotten into trouble with the law through unfortunate circumstances, is persuaded to escape from an honor farm with a young tough nicknamed "Switch" for his prowess with a switchblade. The two escapees take refuge with Frankie's 16-year-old girl friend, Donna, and Switch soon makes advances, threatening the romance between Frankie and Donna with his jealous temper. One day the trio's dilapidated car breaks down near the Mexican border, and they are forced to hitch a ride. They find themselves in the company of Revis, a fugitive murderer and dope smuggler, and his pitifully drug-addicted gun moll, Madge. Switch discovers that Revis is carrying a fortune in heroin stuffed in a doll, and he attempts to run off with it. Madge allows Frankie and Donna to escape, but Revis pursues Switch and kills him. Treasury agent Maddo closes in with the border police, and there is a violent gun battle. On the point of knifing a police officer [Maddo?], Revis is gunned down by Madge. [Some sources make no mention of Madge's role in Revis' death.]
