Synopsis

Fresh from his triumphant leadership in Burdette's crew victory over Clinton, Tommy is welcomed at his fraternity house and pins Betty that night at a dance. Later, Tommy reluctantly agrees to take his band to the Ramble Inn so that Lulu can dance for a Broadway producer. The speakeasy is raided, and Tommy stays behind to delay the police. He is consequently expelled from school and loses Betty's favor. Taking the band to New York, Tommy's happiness at getting a spot on Broadway is marred only by Betty's absence, but the band's success on opening night is made complete by Betty's arrival. Betty and Tommy make a hasty exit to get married.
