Synopsis

For the sake of a woman, Robert Morton does time in jail, and his father disowns him. He is freed after several years and drifts into a dive on the Barbary Coast, where he meets Camille, one of the women. She shelters him and is instrumental in his rehabilitation. Robert gets a job, but he is fired when his prison record becomes known. Camille sticks by him, and they are married. Robert obtains another position and gradually works his way back to self-respect. His father has a change of heart and seeks out Robert, asking him to return home, but without Camille. Robert sticks by his wife; and the old man, realizing the depth of their love and their need for each other, relents.
