Synopsis

Returning to his native Denver from a fruitless hunt for adventure, John Stuart Webster makes the acquaintance of beautiful Dolores Ruey when she cries for help in defending herself from a masher. As their close friendship develops into romance, John receives word that his old pal, Billy Geary, needs assistance in fighting off natives who covet his South American property. John hastens to Buenaventura, meeting en route the gallant and hunted son (Ricardo Ruey) of the former president of the republic, and finds Dolores in the same town. Billy falls in love with Dolores; John graciously tries to back out of the love triangle; Ricardo successfully carries out a revolution with John's help, thereby regaining his rightful position; and John is reunited with Dolores, who is revealed to be Ricardo's sister.

Notes

Probably a reediting of the 1917 A Man's Man, which is 7 reels in length and has at least the same cast, director, scenarist, and source, though not entirely the same story line.
