Synopsis

Leslie Brennan will soon inherit a fortune, but in the meantime she must earn a living, and so she becomes a stenographer for chemist Ewen Kennedy. Ewen is working on a formula that will be of great value to the government, and he entrusts Leslie with the task of taking it to Washington. En route, foreign spies kidnap Leslie, but she hides the formula in her hat and then, after escaping, completes her mission. When she returns to Ewen, who had always seemed so preoccupied with his work, she finds that he has fallen in love with her, and discovers, also, that she feels the same way about him.
