Synopsis

Tom Sloan makes his wife Margot work as "bait" in a saloon, convincing men to enter and then taking their money. One man suspects the trap, wounds Margot's father and apparently kills Tom. Margot and her father leave town and, just before dying, the father confesses that Margot and Tom were not legally married. Margot then marries Bruce Powell, a trapper, and lives happily with him. Tom, having managed to survive, arrives, however, and finds Margot, forcing her to give him the money with which Powell planned to pay other trappers. Finally, again the "bait," Margot lures Tom to a large animal trap. He falls in and dies, and Powell, who had been accused of taking the money, is exonerated.

Notes

An early ad for the film stated that it featured Margaret Gibson. A later ad, however, did not mention her. As the female lead for the film was Betty Hart, and as this film is not listed in Gibson's MPSD filmographies, it is possible that the first ad was erroneous.
