Synopsis

Old Harry Weatherby, a derelict, begs for change on the street and spends the money to go to the theater. To his surprise, the play he watches depicts his own life story. In the play, a youthful Weatherby lives in a small town and becomes engaged to June, a pretty girl who works in a millinery shop. When Harry receives word that he is heir to $200,000, he abandons his fiancée and leaves for the city where he meets and impulsively marries Billie, an adventuress. June discovers Harry's whereabouts, but weds his rival when she learns of his marriage. After Billie becomes pregnant, she deserts Harry, but he spends his savings searching for her and the child. Billie dies and Harry finds Little Pal, his daughter, living in a tenement. On the way to reconcile with June, Harry and Little Pal are robbed of all of their possessions by gypsies. Upon reaching town, they discover that June is married. After Little Pal dies of consumption, Harry becomes a derelict and finally ends up at the theater. When the play is over, Harry is found dead in his seat.
