Synopsis

Giles, who is the young King of Bavarre's secretary, befriends an orphaned dancing girl. After many years, the girl becomes the most celebrated dancer in the kingdom and also the king's sweetheart. She begs the monarch to relieve the sufferings of the poor, and he complies, much to the outrage of the nobility who conspire with the Prime Minister to have the king assassinated. Despite the great danger, the dancer foils the plot when she slays the Prime Minister in a duel. In the end, the nobles are defeated and the king marries the dancer as the people cheer.

Reviews and ads for the film indicate that the original idea May have come from a story by Mark Twain. Cecil Spooner played the role of the dancer on the stage. Charles E. Blaney Productions went out of business in late 1914; thus World Film Corp. took over its properties.
