Synopsis

Although he outwardly supports the regime of Victoriano Huerta, Manuel Torres, a wealthy Mexican banker, secretly sympathizes with an insurgent Constitutionalist faction. His daughter Isabelle is courted by Havilando, an army officer who betrays the banker. In order to save her father, Isabelle offers to spy for Huerta in New York, where she meets and falls in love with Capt. Jack Conway of the U.S. Navy and foils an attempt on his life by conspirators who plan to destroy the Panama Canal. Later, Jack is sent to Mexico and, aided by Isabelle, her brother Louis, and Ensign Hanley, he is able to assist U.S. forces landing on Mexican soil and slay Havilando. The American flag then flies over the city while Isabelle, her father, and Jack celebrate the union of the United States and Mexico.
