Synopsis

Kleschna, the master thief of Paris, has instructed his daughter Leah in the intricacies of stealing from her earliest childhood. One night, the wealthy Paul Sylvain finds Leah robbing his safe, but instead of calling the police, he gently impresses upon her the error of her ways. She responds to Paul's kindness by explaining her father's influence and expressing her fervent desire to begin a new life. Seeing the two together, Raoul Berton, the brother of Paul's fiancée, steals the family jewels that Leah had tried to take, whereupon Paul bitterly assumes that she has betrayed him. Asserting her innocence, Leah secures the jewels from Raoul, returns them, and leaves Paris. Later, Raoul is apprehended, and Paul breaks his engagement. In the country, Paul finally finds Leah, who accepts his proposal and his wedding gift: the family jewels.
