Synopsis
Biograph summary: The scene is laid in a public park. On a Grecian seat at the foot of a statue two young lovers are seated, and are quarreling. The young man leaves the girl in anger. A tramp who has witnessed the scene from behind the statue slyly takes the seat which the young man has vacated. The girl, thinking her lover has returned, proceeds coyly to make up. The tramp puts his arm around her waist. Suddenly the girl discovers the deception, and in horror gets up and jumps away, much to the tramp's amusement. The details of this picture, and of the succeeding number ["TWO'S COMPANY"], are worked out with exceeding care, and the characters are taken by members of Southern's company.
