Synopsis
Biograph summary: This is an animated copy of the well-known picture by Vergilio Tojetti. The action takes place on a Grecian seat extending in semi-circular form on either side of the statue of a Laughing Satyr. On one side is an old monk asleep, on the opposite are two lovers, the young man begging for a kiss. The monk suddenly awakes and looks upon the pretty scene with great agitation. He is discovered by the young couple, who promptly raise a parasol between themselves and the monk, and go on with their love-making.
