Synopsis

Claudio is 17 and his one ambition in life is to be a car mechanic. His father spent most of his life setting up a car demolition business, situated in the suburbs of Rome, and would dearly love to see his son take over the reins. Stefano, 35, owns a car workshop near the seaside and needs an apprentice and hires Claudio. On meeting Claudio, Stefano, a fan of nocturnal and illegal car races through the deserted streets of suburban Rome, sees the boy's innate talent for engines and recruits him to soup up an old Ford, turning the car into a racing machine guaranteed to make Fischio, Stefano's eternal racing rival and the owner of a flashy and very powerful new car, less sure of himself.
