Synopsis
Ethan is a dreamer and Lenny is a player. Both fail miserably at playing the Hollywood game. L.A. Twister is a satirical quest for fame, a test of friendship, integrity and love. When Ethan separates from his wife, he comes to L.A. and moves in with his buddy Lenny. His friend however, is preoccupied with more pressing matters. He is busy trying to get the big acting part by sleeping with the fat casting director. Lenny should have known better, and finds himself being taken for a ride and becoming another nameless victim of the cruel Hollywood system. He is ready to give up on acting, when Ethan convinces him to take movie making into his own hands. The two filmmakers try to manipulate their way around the underbelly of show business. Along the way, powerful agents, sleazy investors and trophy wives are more interested in satisfying their egos than taking a chance on an unfinished script and two "wanna-be" actors. Lenny and Ethan can never really win in this farce about living your dream, trusting your friends and failing miserably. But enough self-respect survives to set the two on a path of redemption.
